The history of Uncle Jerry’s Pretzels is one of the best kind: a family
 business that’s still all in the family and makes handmade, all-natural pretzels from a traditional recipe.  Every bag of Uncle Jerry’s is from our family to yours.

It all started over two decades ago.  Jerry, a family man with two uj-new1.pngdaughters, considered getting involved in a pretzel business based in NY.  Although that never happened, Jerry still believed such a great pretzel should be sold locally in Pennsylvania.  So in 1988, Jerry started Uncle Jerry’s Handmade Pennsylvania Dutch Pretzels in his native Pennsylvania by selling to stores in center city Philadelphia.  In only two short years, Uncle Jerry’s Pretzels won Best of Philly.

Four years ago, Jerry’s youngest daughter, Misty, joined the business.  Jerry and Misty have been working hard to reach more pretzel lovers by making the pretzels available to you at more stores throughout the country and online.

Misty launched the website, UncleJerryspretzels.com, in late 2008 allowing customers to order on-line for the first time.  She keeps fans of our pretzels informed about new store openings and events on Facebook and Twitter.

Thanks to our loyal customers the business continues to grow and we create new products, like the 2-pretzel snack packs launched last year and milk or dark chocolate-covered pretzels.  As more and more customers discover our chocolate-covered pretzels, they become a popular gift item for clients, family, and friends!  We have even extended our holiday offerings with customizable pretzel gifts, including hand-stamped cases with personalized notes.

Today, Uncle Jerry’s Handmade Pretzels are sold from coast to coast through on-line sales, nationally recognized grocery stores, regional supermarkets, and independent specialty shops and delicatessens. 

Uncle Jerry’s Handmade Pretzels have been celebrated in articles in Men’s Health, Lancaster Intelligencer Journal and Philly magazine.
