Loved the whole wheat pretzels. Will be ordering again but without the salt
Salt adhesion is much better on my current order of the regular-salt whole-wheat pretzels. The salt is as important as the crunch!
Pretzels are like toaster pastries. People who like pretzels are often not interested in nutritional qualities. Pretzels made with whole wheat, or other whole grain, are hard to find. I keep buying these because I want whole grains. I like these pretzels when they have adequate salt, which sometimes they don't. (I don't think I would like the low-salt version at all; I do not have elevated blood pressure so do not need to worry about sodium.) Also, Jerry's has from time to time changed the recipe, not always for the better in my opinion. Sometimes I think I detect the slightest hint of sweetness, which I don't like in a savory snack. I also wonder if changed recipes result in the poorer salt adhesion I notice from time to time. On the whole (no pun intended), though, I recommend the whole-wheat regular-salt pretzel.
I like that the pretzels have no oil for us plant based eaters. The salt is just right. They arrive intact due to careful packaging. They are somewhat dry and I have to have a drink handy. My crunchy snack craving is satisfied.
